i have exactly the same failure/behaviour on my machine with ubuntu 11.10 only if i input the printer over the direct adress ipp://192.168.1.5:631/printers/ then the printer works perfect. there is definitly a failure in the atomatic detection of printers in 11.10 regards August -- You
