If you still have not seen a crash, would it be possible for you to re-
enable RC6 with: i915.i915_enable_rc6=1

I've done more testing and now I'm sure it's stable.
I was able to download over 300MB, I ran a few openssl speed benchmarks, all
without a single crash.

I haven't noticed any crashes yet. But I need to do more tests to be
sure they are not happening. Yesterday my system worked continously
without crashing for 3h.
