Public bug reported:

 affects ubuntu/flashrom
 subscribe ubuntu-release

hi!

i am one of the upstream maintainers (without upload rights to Ubuntu)
and would like to request to sync 0.9.5.1 of our package from Debian.
There was a FFE for 0.9.5 already which brought in most of our current
development (see bug #938156
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/flashrom/+bug/938156).

0.9.5.1 was (only) released to fix a few bugs that were shipped with
0.9.5. It fixes accessing of future flash chips that will be supported
by querying parameters instead of hardcoding them into our database. So
this might become useful in the long term for yet unknown chips and
that's the reason i'd like you to push it for the LTS release.
Beside those changes only building on Debian/kFreeBsd was fixed.

I have not (re)tried building it on ubuntu, but can do so if requested
by a sponsor.
