Public bug reported: On a Multi-monitor setup, using NVidia graphics & closed-driver.
It is possible to have no primary monitor set One can set up two screens as follows: - on the right, a laptop screen (most likely seen as first by the driver) - on the left, an external monitor Currently Unity2D will place launcher on left of the 'first' monitor. In this case, it makes best sense to have launcher placed on the left- most screen. (Unity does this) If you set the primary monitor in nvidia-settings, then all works ok. ** Affects: unity-2d Importance: Medium Status: Confirmed ** Affects: unity-2d (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: unity-2d Milestone: None => 5.8 ** Changed in: unity-2d Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: unity-2d Status: New => Confirmed ** Also affects: unity-2d (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/955896 Title: [multi-monitor] On NVidia, launcher best placed on left-most monitor (not primary) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity-2d/+bug/955896/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
