Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 11.10...  I chose a keyboard, chose time zone, chose to reformat
hard drive, this took some time.

The jnstaller failed and alerted me that I had not chosen a user and a
password.

Am I supposed to sit on the installer until it hatches.

Please make it a little smarter.
