Same error here: Error message is in the output of any update/install via synaptic (on Xubuntu 13.04 amd64 with 3.8.0-25-generic and huge package list): E: gpsmanshp: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 127 Workaround: sudo apt-get install tcl8.4 works
