Public bug reported: I installed Ubuntu 12.04 over the weekend. When it asked me to select my location or time zone or whatever, I selected Detroit, Michigan, Eastern Time Zone. When I booted up, I saw that my locale settings were for Canada, rather than the US. So, I had Canadian date format, units, and currency.
I changed it to US per this askubuntu thread: http://askubuntu.com/questions/133011/set-default-language-to-english-us-in-12-04 Not sure where this geography information is stored, but this fixed the problem for me after the fact. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/997737 Title: Detroit is not in Canada, 12.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/997737/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
