For me, combining the sound controls is not the solution. The volume of
the mono or bass speaker is much stronger than the two normal speakers.
If the volume gets low, all you hear is the low not that nice to hear
sound from the speaker at the bottom.

Tried to install kubuntu 7.04 (feisty), i manually set partitions. and
few few moments after the installation started (i think on 13%) when
trying to format the / partition the installation stopped responding.
Also the migration tool step was skipped, but maybe it doesn't
i've tried everything i can think of to fix these intermittent freezes and
black screens, so i think i am also affected by this bug. sometimes my display
and keyboard will freeze, but my mouse cursor can move (though i cannot use the
buttons on it), sometimes it will freeze and go to the
yeay,
finally i feel I'm at the right place with the troubles I encountered.

Yes this is indeed a duplicate of bug #34831.
This problem was resolved by installing the realtime kernel, Linux
ubuntustudio 2.6.20-15-realtime. Since then the MIDI problems have all
but disappered. Rose
I am seeing the same problem on the Epson 1670. This scanner worked
beautifully for a long time on an Edgy AMD64 system, now it fails on
Feisty 32-bit.

It is a Toshiba Regza 32 flat TV panel hooked up to a laptop via a VGA
cable.
What I mean, though, is that those common HDTV resolutions are not
listed under as generic flat panel options, so it is not possible to
configure an output that fits an HDTV LCD panel exactly, be it
Toshiba, Sony,

Hello,
Try booting the LiveCD installer with noacpi option to turn ACPI. I have
seen this installation error happen many times with ACPI turned on.
