I can confirm this problem in Intrepid. Doing a full purge of amavisd-
new doesn't remove the user amavis, hence causing the reinstall of
amavisd-new to fail.

I probably won't add anything new to this, but here it goes:
I've just installed Hardy for a mail/dns/webserver with a NTP server
also and I ran into this little 'bug'.
- machine boots, NTP is stopped and started when eth0 (statically configured)
comes up
- down the line, NTP is again started
The problem isn't that purge doesn't remove the user (this is normal). The
problem is the continued presence of old transitional code that is no
longer needed.

I too am experiencing the same bug. Running 8.10, 64-bit on a Core2Duo.
This bug first appeared when I changed the passphrase for my key,
everything was working fine before that. The workarounds above worked

Though the incidence of Firefox crashing has diminished, it still happens.
I am not sure if it is the embedded video or a script on the web page I
happen to be viewing that is causing the the crash. So far, as in my

After changing monitors, I've removed the proprietary ATI drivers and
switched to the open source ones to allow me to run the monitors at
different resolutions. Since doing this I'm noticing bands of graphical
interference around the mouse cursor.

Here is a debdiff for jaunty which makes the 'PalmOS Devices' Menu entry
the generic pda icon form gnome-icon-theme.

Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it without more information.
I suppose that this is not an issue of gnome-sound-recorder, but a
general sound problem.

I can confirm this on my GMA950. Seems like the small changes between
mesa 7.3 rc3 and 7.3 final were really relevant... (the intel_wait_flips
calls were cleared).
