The apparmor profile should be put in complain mode when upgrading from
gutsy to hardy. As mentioned by andreas, the location of the relay log
files have changed between gutsy and hardy.

With lockup bugs, usually what's happening is the GPU has hung due to
some bad register setting.

I followed the exact advise to fix my own problems with my microphone
using either skype or MSN.
It fixed the problems momentarily. I left my computer on overnight and
have not restarted it. I did close Skype and aMSN and started both upon
waking up. Again, I have no microphone functionality

kenny's patched version of lcdproc more or less works for me. dmesg is
cluttered withthese messges, though:
