I'm affected by this bug too.
I recently upgraded my laptop from a Dell Latitude D380 running Lucid
64-bit to a Dell Latitude E6520 running Natty 64. I moved all my VMs
from the old machine to the new. All the VMs had been working fine for
a long time on the old system.
The first VM i booted
I can confirm this has fixed the bug that I reported #769545 relating to
banshee.
Thanks to all those involved in fixing this long outstanding bug.

I think Jamie Strandboge is on to something in comment #18 (even though
Kees Cook reports something contradictory in #28).
I have a very similar wifi chipset, and if i disable wifi the problem
appears to be gone. At least my VM successfully compiled a whole
kernel, which it's never done with

I had to completely remove the fglrx, removed xorg.conf, rebootet with
opensource radeon driver, and than I did a fresh install with jockey,
this solved the problem.
It looks like a problem with the upgrade procedure, the fglrx kernel
module was not build

levu, I think you're creating a straw man. I refuse to believe emacs
users are offended by the presence of vi in Software Center and I think
if you were honest, you'd say that's ridiculous too.

@Artur, this is because your problem is caused by dontzap not a PPA.
Please remove dontzap and try to upgrade again. In the future please
file a new report instead of adding me too to an existing report which
looks the same and actually isn't.

It is about 3 days that the laptop works fine. So yes, I think it is ok to
close the bug.
Sorry for the noise.
I wonder if it could be the case to express a wish, to have checks in
syndaemon to prevent it from starting twice and how.
Advice would be welcome. Better here or to mainstream?

Sometimes lately after upgrade to Natty the network manager status icon
is not possible to click on, nothing happens. When it happened now, it
seems to be solved by restarting network-manager service (sudo service
network-manager restart).

This occurred with a clean install of Ubuntu 10.10 reverting to kernel
2.6.34-02063407 resolved the issue. Now I've upgraded to 11.04 problem
has reoccurred.
Laptop is Lenovo T400 with latest bios update. Periodically system will
freeze for approx 10-15 seconds then control
I forgot to mention when this occurred in 10.10 process was kslowd, not
kworker. It happened on all kernel versions post 2.6.34.
