usb canon mp510 printer attached and turned on. At 11:25am I started the

It would seem that items are being written to your cache which have a
Vary header, but which were given no Vary Key:. I took a hard look at
the code path that leads to items getting written, and its fairly
involved, and (perhaps not so ironically) varies quite a bit based on
the headers

times a day. I run the kdc through runit, so things get restarted
immediately, but something is clearly wrong:

As a workaround, I added the following to /etc/rc.local:

exit 0
The problem is obviously that cups is started after samba and so the
printer is not shared by samba at boot.
This problem exists still in 11.04 Natty and therefore isn't fixed.

Correction to my previous comment (#7) - the glitch does happen
regardless of theme or graphics driver (ATI or the open source
equivalent).
Haven't been able to track down any error messages...

I had the same problem, after installing the gnome3 packages from the
gnome3 ppa (ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3).
I fixed it by running:
gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist
['JavaEmbeddedFrame', 'Mumble', 'Wine', 'Skype', 'hp-systray', 'scp-
dbus-service', 'NetworkManager']

To all of those that are having this problem, does Flash video
performance still stutter in fullscreen if you disable Compiz? If it
plays smoothly, then that's both a workaround and a clue. This bug has
