listed /rootfs/. Of course the paths will now resolve. I'm not sure

link in the ubuntu
I'm quite clearly against adding this hack to lxc-ubuntu and lxc-ubuntu-
cloud as since with 12.04, we're saying that a chroot filesystem is
identical to a stock ubuntu filesystem, which would no longer be true
with the workaround.

Faced similar problem, Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit. Fixed after installed hal.
As a newbie it took way too much time just to find the solution posted here.

Then downloaded and built latest ALSA driver (1.0.25) from source. Also
applied recent Ubuntu precise-proposed update that was supposed to fix
lack of support for Realtek 280 chipset.
When you install a custom made ALSA driver (which is unsupported by
Ubuntu! ), that overrides the normal kernel,
User error: you did not allow the debconf question to modify the
pg_hba.conf, that’s why the database cannot be accessed by the other
postinst scripts. Fix that.
Please also note LP#869986 (basically: thanks to Ubuntu, FusionForge is
broken on most versions of theirs). You might have better luck

I had the same problem at my Dell Vostro 1500 with NVidia GeForce 8400M
GS with both nvidia-current driver and latest driver from NVidia
official site. The problem was solved for me using nvidia-current driver
by disabling PXE-boot ability for LAN at BIOS. If somebody has Wake-on-
LAN (WOL)

I just tried with the latest build(quantal-alternate-amd64.iso
build:20120812), this problem still exists, but the Invalid UTF 8 change
to be 周h which is still wrong

Tried some different versions of the NVIDIA driver.
295.33 was not stable.
290.10 seems to work fine so far.
