I (and many others) had the same problem on ubuntu 10 (there is a 200
page thread on ubuntuforums.org about it) and now i have the same
problem again after upgrading to 12.04. I tried with kernel 3.2.0-39 and
3.2.0-40 with different versions of the nvidia drivers but the freezes

put into the DEBIAN folder (big case letters). Unfort. the debchange
tool searches for a debian folder with small letters.

Hi all,
After upgrading from 12.10 to 13.04 on a system with two monitors, the
second one became very dim. In fact, it's so dim that I thought it was
blank. Both monitors are fine when booting up and they both show the
Ubuntu name with 5 circles underneath...but somewhere
Cool, good to hear the dkms works for you.
And the fix is too late to enter the 13.04 release.
Anyway, I'll submit the fix to mainstream kernel, so that the next ubuntu
release will have the fix.
