Hmmm, seems worse than I thought: actually the manpage is emacs-
snapshot.1.gz, so there really is no such manpage available at all,
which means I guess we need some corner-case logic in our update-
alternatives code. currently it just assumes there are manpages for all
binaries and iterates over
