looking for a way to remove ntpdate from my system because I'm using
ntp, and I don't want the meta package to go away. Here's a workaround.
1. Install the package equivs. This is a simple tool to create trivial

I ran hp-setup without sudo. It asked me to enter my login password most
likely to get sudo rigths anyway. On subsequent restart my
~/.gnupg/pubring.gpg and also backup ~/.gnupg/pubring.gpg~ were owned by

tpconfig detects the touchpad as Synaptics but no UI shows up in Mouse
Touchpad and synclient says no Synaptics driver is loaded.

As of yesterday, cgmanager is depended by systemd-shim (a dependency of
ubuntu-desktop and of the other core packages pulseaudio, policykit-1,
and udisks2). So now it’s impossible to install a consistent Ubuntu
system with systemd.

In AptOfflineCoreLib.py there is a call to socket.setdefaulttimeout()
which changes the default timeout from infinite to 30 seconds.
Additionally the user has the option to provide a non-infinite timeout
via a command line switch during 'apt-offline get' commands.

The other problem with the current directory containing temporary name
approach is that it does not properly map to any libvirt storage type
(either 'file' or 'directory'), and therefore cannot be managed properly
