Testing a clean install of the 14.04.2 image on this same laptop, I saw
that the problem returned. Checked the kernel version and it was

better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears
to be a regular (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to

FWIW, this fix breaks a use case which worked before. It is no longer
possible to use the flash to help the camera focus the image before
taking an HDR pic.
Pre-image focus light should probably be its own option instead of being
entagled in the during-exposure flash setting, but I thought I
