When adding a few songs to a playlist with the contextual menu, rhythmbox
randomly crashes like this:

Same problem here. Ubuntu 14.10. Backup on samba share. Manual backup
works ok. Adding samba host to /etc/hosts fixed it for me.

ok, downloaded kubuntu utopic, booted it, the live desktop showed for one half
second, more or less, i tried to switch to vt2, no apparent response (similar
to OP behavior), tried vt3, after several seconds it switched, i installed the
same 2packages as above, and entered the same apport-

It is (from my understanding of this bug) something to do with NVIDIA. and
their drivers and the way they link with certain system libraries.
The people at Ubuntu do not make the proprietary NVIDIA drivers, so no one can
be assigned. No one can fix this except Nvidia (AFAIK). It *may*
Tamas, the ISO is a live environment, which doesn't require one to
install anything.

I have the same problem with 3.13.0-46.
The P9D-X mobo simply does not power off if WoL is enabled.
I tried to go back to 0-45 and 0-44 but they all show the problem.
The last working kernel is 3.13.0-43.
We are now 3 kernel later and the problem is still there.
My lsb_release -rd shows:
Finally I got so fed up with gnome that I switched to XFCE and never
looked back. Despite all the other benefits I personally think it has,
.Xmodmap works as expected again, in particular also when waking up from
sleep.

It builds on amd64 here (trusty).

Hi there, it happens occasionally here on 14.04 lts amd64 upgraded from 12.04,
10.04, 8.04 etc.
