I originally had no video drivers installed and was using the Intel gpu
and this did not work with DisplayLink with 1.4x drivers installed until
i added xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf. After this it worked as a
Hardware Certification have completed testing this -proposed kernel. No
regressions were observed, results are available here:

I would like to add that triggering a kernel dump in seconds following
the installation of the package remains a corner case in a test context
and not the usual behavior.
