RE: rsyslog / journald-remote-logging
At the moment I still feel that we should be forwarding to rsyslog, and
support native rsyslog / remote rsyslog.
My actual thought is to move to rsyslog-ng in the future, and use a
journald plugin of thereof, which can reliable pull-in journald logs,
Let's get this reviewed by Security.
I have not looked at it at all yet, but it is a daemon dealing with Xen
domains, etc.

In fact, I was even able to login after I shut down the windows server,
because of the "winbind offline logon = Yes" setting. I got a notice
saying that the controller was offline, but logged in to the desktop
without further problems, launched applications, etc.

will build now and be available in the Ubuntu Cloud Archive in a few
hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

It looks like there is something wrong with your EFI system partition.
Can you take a look at what files are in it? Specifically is there an
"EFI" folder and does it contain an "ubuntu" one?
