i've had this issue several times and twice during a new installation.
it will happen randomly but mostly a few mins in to a boot up after
being logged in, the screen will turn black for a moment and when it
comes back the screen that is being displayed will be displaying 90
I've run into the same problem, although I'm using cowbuilder-dist
instead of pbuilder-dist on Ubuntu 16.04. I've attached a log.
Possibly worth noting - both 18.04 (bionic) and 14.04 (trusty) build
correctly - it's only 16.04 (xenial) that fails.

The UI for keyboard shortcuts would not close. I had to kill gnome-
control-center (via htop) to close the UI.

When setting ZSH as the default shell, /etc/profile is never sourced
(because ZSH instead sources its own /etc/zsh/zprofile). That's
problematic, because /etc/profile (and the files in /etc/profile.d) are
responsible for a bunch of important stuff. For example:

i reinstalling ubuntu 18.10, but i have this problem again... now i
purged nvidia and problem is solved

However: a script of my disconnects weak networks, the idea being to
allow connection to a stronger network. Yet, after the weak network is
disconnected, there is no automatic connection to my stronger network
