I have tested this using the daily iso image (5/21/2019) on a bare metal
Acer laptop (BIOS) and Virtual Box using both BIOS and EFI. All tests
yield the same kernel panic result.
I have also tested the daily iso (5/20/2019) for Kubuntu and Xubuntu,
both of them worked properly on the same VM
On a related note, if one specifically decides to _not_ create a
biosgrub partition and attempts to skip past the message asking you to
do so using "partman-partitioning/no_bootable_gpt_biosgrub" it just
locks up d-i.

Confirmed i had the same long boot times on multiple systems(with ssd's) that
came from 18.04.0
tested the hwe kernel 4.18 but did not fix
only a fresh install 18.04.2 with kernel 4.18 .iso made the boot 4x
faster

Spend a little more time on this yesterday. While it is somewhat clear that
this results from fixing the original issue (now it crashes when releasing
memory a little later), My past experience of looking at network issues like
that is that memory dumps are of rather limited use as the reasons

Bionic is great, previously it would fail
nova.tests.unit.virt.xenapi.test_xenapi.XenAPIDiffieHellmanTestCase
tests but now they pass.
Cosmic/Disco/Eoan are also correctly fixed at runtime, however the
unittests that exercise this runtime issue are force skipped since the
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
