Since I first reported this bug, I've noticed that I also encounter it
on a fairly minimal Openbox system where I'm using setxkbmap to manage
the keyboard layouts. Which suggests that it may not be a Gnome-Shell
issue at all.
I've also got a Xubuntu 20.04 VM, and I'm not having these problems
1. What version did you upgrade from most recently? 19.04?
2. Please run:
lspci -k > lspcik.txt
and attach the resulting file 'lspcik.txt' to this bug.
3. Please log into Xorg again, reproduce the problem and then attach the

Anytime I disconnect from my VPN service, I lose network connectivity.
When looking at Settings, I no longer see any WLAN/WiFi hardware. To

Thanks. The only slow things I can see in those logs relate to:
* gnome-system-monitor snap - If you don't need it then please
uninstall it. This might also be a problem with your wifi.
* DNS failures from your network provider - Please check your network
settings or try using the Google DNS
