Recently I have updated my system with sudo apt update and upgrade.
A new kernel was installed.
Before that i was able to suspend and wake up without a problem.
After the upgrade every time I wake from suspend, the monitor stay blank and

Today when booting the laptop from OFF i went up to the login screen.

I can echo Eric's observation above but with Firefox 75 (released with
20.04) and Firefox 76 (latest version).
If geo.provider.network.url is set to the Google service then it doesn't
work, but the mozilla one does. If you download Firefox from mozilla
then geolocation with Google works fine, so

On booting I see a nice Lubuntu logo on top half of screen, below in
bottom left corner is the language select, none of which are readable.
As I use english I need only wait or press enter, but I'd be lost if I

This is also seen on Kubuntu and Xubuntu Groovy daily ISOs pressing any
key on boot to enter the syslinux menu. On those ISO language selection
box has to be invoked with F2, but the messed up screen still happens,
so seems a more general syslinux menu issue.

i boot arm-device with serial console in minicom (started inside of
gnome-terminal). if i scroll back via gnome-terminals scrollbars, output
of minicom will be "diced". this does not happen with output of gnome-

O.k. it is an old Lenovo thinkpad T410. However, in 18.04, 19.04 and 19.10 I
did face these problems. The sometimes I have to wait 10 seconds to see if a
