I'm using kubuntu 7.10 just upgrade frm 7.04
Changing the theme with KDM Theme Manager in SystemSettings|Appearance does
nothing. I always get the KDM (not Kubuntu) default theme.
My kdmrc also contains
I have the same problem with ubuntu 8.10. cups-pdf does not print, there
is no PDF folder created into HOME folder.

Webhttrack seems non to work. When i lunch the application Firefox web-

I tried to install Ubuntu 9.04 from Alternate and desktop CD but both
don't see disk partition. In my disk i have two partition, one with XP
and the other with Ubuntu 8.10. I wanted to install in the partition of
ubuntu but looks like
I just write down some hypothesis, I have restore a corrupted grub
before this new installation of ubuntu. It's the only thing comes in my
head now but I don't know if can be the reason.

with Alexey's patch and Vink's packages the issue is fixed for me too
after I installed Vink's packages the only problem I have is that the
system wants to reinstall the kernel packages from official

now I tried to install gdm2setup and change gtk theme to clearlooks, I
try do login and logout about ten times and only once gdm locked up and
restart, then I seems now I can login with nvidia-96 drivers enabled

same problem for me with ubuntu lucid 32bit and nvidia geforce4 4000mx
with nvidia-96 legacy driver, I didn't try with nouveau drivers...
for me when I close the second user session everything seems locked on a
black screen, anyway I can kill xorg with alt+sysrq+k key combination
and this kick me

i also attach the log file in the dist-upgrade folder, it seems there
are problems with some xorg-server package...

Removed the package xserver-xorg-video-nouveau
Now the upgrade seems to work properly...
Also seems that removing the package libdrm-nouveau1 IS NOT required...

Putting current song in Pause State, closing rhythmbox from the x on
right-upper corner and searching for process:

So, if I pause song, rhythmbox real quit.
