running process. For example, run `top` and then try to close the window
— it just closes.
I installed and ran gnome-terminal and again started `top`. When I try
to close the window it opens a dialog warning

I was attempting to use "Restore Disk Image" to write an Ubuntu MATE iso
to flash drive. The task stalled at 0%, and htop showed Disks using 100%
CPU. I cancelled the task and clicked the window close button, and then
Disks crashed.

metacity. It does seem to happen less with only one window open, but
after trying various of combinations of 1, 2 and 3 windows open of
different apps, sometimes with windows minimized, it's not as simple as

I'm not sure if it's related, but I've also had issues with Disks
(gnome-disks), specifically it stalls at 0.0% when I try the "Restore
Disk Image" option. This worked fine before I upgraded to Artful.

I think this is a Ambiant-MATE GTK+ theme issue. I just tried it, and I
was able to scroll the list with two-finger trackpad scrolling with the
mouse cursor over the list, but not just by hovering at the bottom of
the menu. When I switched the the "Clearlook" GTK+ theme (more or less
at random),
AIUI this is to be expected for now, because the developers are working
on the new version.

This occurs for me on a system that had been upgraded from 17.04 to
17.10. I've now upgraded it to 18.04 pre-release and Disks's restore
function is working again. It does seem to use a lot of CPU, however,
but I haven't compare it with another system very scientifically.

Since upgrading the music player Quod Libet to the latest version (4.2,
via ppa:lazka/ppa), I there's no option to pin it to the MATE dock
applet. I'm using 18.10, and I also tried Plank. A Quod Libet developer
confirmed the issue as well in Unity on 16.04. AFAICT, these
OK, thanks for taking a look, I appreciate it.
I did look at the syslog but I don't see anything related to banf or the
docks, just some gtk theme warnings...
I did notice, however, that Quod Libet 4.1 is listed in the MATE dock
and Plank as "Quod Libet", while 4.2 is listed as " - Quod
Libet".
Have you tried any other app that uses GtkSourceView like Gedit, Meld or
Mousepad?

With recent Eoan builds, bcmwl fails to install completely, . It had
worked when I installed Eoan a couple weeks ago, but not when I first
tried to clean install on 9 July until today. (I've unfortunately erased
the old, working installation so I don't have more details.)
$
I went to try again and get the log ... and with today's build it is
working. Let me try on the other machine that I was seeing this with and
then I will close the bug.
(The one thing I noticed is that I needed to restart the computer before
it worked, while I could swear it used to work as soon

bcmwl fails to install with recent Eoan (Bad return status for
I just installed the latest build of Eoan and had this happen. I chose
the install open, without trying the desktop. I had maximized the window
and then clicked minimize by mistake instead of un-maximize. Alt+Tab
didn't do anything. My workaround was to switch to another virtual
terminal and kill
