Getting this warning message when upgrading/updating packages to
maverick (from list). I have lost the menu and the status/task bar in
the display and out of ideas on how to get the menus and taskbar.
Desktop shortcuts appear fine though. Just thinking if this warning is
the cause of menus etc

this workaround, incoming messages *will show up as unread new mails*,
not in inbox, but in the corresponding labels (right side menu in the
browser). You won't miss any mail!

Thanks Pat McGowan (pat-mcgowan), other sounds (incoming call, music player,
youtube on browser, notification from telegram, gmail etc.) were playing fine
except the incoming SMS notification. Then I restarted the device and now sound
notification for incoming SMS works again!
But I found
As I mentioned in comment #4 sound alert for new SMS is working again
after reboot. Nevertheless I deleted (from file browser, not using
terminal) the ubuntu-phablet-stream-volumes.tdb file and rebooted as
suggested in comment #5. Sound alert for text, call, Telegram - all
working fine now. The

from other pages. Video and audio works alright on wi-fi, but on 3g, only the

Hi, I started facing the "dual" problem yesterday. Instead of a blank
row, the search results in the first row had their tops cut off in step
2. and subsequently the top row of apps scope in step 3. too. Then I
restarted the device and yet to find the issue appear for a single time.

UPDATE: well, this seems to be a temporary workaround as the top-
getting-cut-off issue came back and restarting the device has fixed it
once again.
