Sorry, but I can't collect the logs with nvidia drivers since the nouveau are
automatically loaded when booting to the live CD and I can't unload nouveau
drivers to let the nvidia drivers work.
X still fails to run with nvidia (173) drivers on a fully updated 13.10 system.

Should not this be enough?
have_field_extractors has been added in 2.0.2 according to
debian/libwireshark6.symbols.
I assume you got the package from this PPA:

Could you please update your packages and try running wireshark again by
running the
wireshark-common 1.11.1+svn53339-0ubuntu1~saucy1~ppa0 is from a PPA thus
it is not supported through this channel.
