Folks, this lock up appears to be affecting a lot of people who are trying prerelease versions of hardy, if this thing goes public with this bug it is going to be a *disaster* for Ubuntu. Is there anyway to get hold of the people responsible and get the release delayed until this bug is fixed?

I have the same hardware but with 512MB. I have the same problem. The problem occured with alpha 4, alpha 5, and beta 1. After alpha 5 I did a complete reinstall of 7.10, which works perfectly, and then did a new install of beta 1 using update-manager -d. It still locks up hard after 5 to 10
