firefox. I dont seem to have the same issues in gedit, (those are about the
only tools I use!) and it certainly doesn't affect my winXP running on

have actualy had this problem for a while. Bits of cursors hanging
around, etc. But it has got ALOT worse with the latest upgrades. Firefox
is getting really annoying.

Screen refresh problems with nvidia on intrepid
Public bug reported:
Today's update included the -13 kernel. After the 2nd boot screen with the
orange progress bar, it freezes with a blank screen and no disk activity. Fails
consistently. Selecting -12 in grub still boots fine.

show in the GUI System-Administration-Hardware Drivers.

I agree with Jose. I've gone back to -12 now because despite the fact that -13
boots with nv 180, it consistently fails to recover from suspend. Only way out
is hard power-off.
Bad form.
I used to think it was a bit daft that grub kept all the boot options for old
kernel images, now I'm glad.
Fair enough! feeling suitably humbled.
