Hi,
I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but the ntfs drives I mount via
fstab always gets randomized.
I have it set in this order: C-D-F-G. But for every boot, they get
shuffled.
At first I used the following setup:
/dev/sda1 /media/C: ntfsdefaults,umask=007,gid=46

I'm adding new accounts in Pidgin when the crash occurred. It was after
a few notifications (*** is online) [2-4 I think] showed up, then the
indicator-applet crashed - twice in a row. Then Pidgin crashed next.

Hmm. just to add if it will help any..
Still happening to me. My setup:
1) Dual-boot with BIOS HDD primary as SATA 160GB = WinXP and Fresh install of
Karmic (via LiveCD)
2) Upon first login xorg goes 100% or 101% and eats up my CPU2.
3) Karmic detects my HDDrives based on the cable and not via

With the updates today, I had a chance to save a copy of the grub.cfg
that is produced after the update ran update-grub.

I setup my fstab to mount partition in this order: C-D-F-G. (Using UUID.)
When I open Nautilus itself, it shows up as C-D-F-G, which is correct.
But when I Open or Save a file, and the File Dialog shows up, the Sort
Order is different,

If my 'Desks' are setup (Workspace switcher) as 2x2 or 3x2 etc, and I
try to set the workspace to 3 or 4 (any second row Desks), devilspie
can not placed them.

If I set up Songbird to go to any viewport (in my case, I have to use
viewport not workspace), it won't work. I also tried setting my
Workspace switcher to 4x1 instead of 2x2 to test if it's related to my
#49 Interesting. But could it be just random? I mean, in my UNR, I
don't have Compiz enabled at all (if I'm not mistaken it isn't installed
by default). My visual effects is locked to none but still it wasn't
easy to make the Add button to appear.
Could this be a case-to-case basis? I suggest

I'm wondering if this could be related to the other bug where the
workaround is to use a different DNS server like GoogleDNS or OpenDNS or

I did your instructions but it did not work for me.
I remember doing something similar before on my desktop but I can not
recall it. Doing the above on UNR is failing. The key was added but
the init.d seems to think the key is still missing.

I do not know if this might help but what I did on my 64-bit Lucid
Desktop is I maximized window (if it isn't possible to maximize it, just
resize it) after a successful authorization. The Add or Save button
(before it was Save now it is Add) showed up way, way, way, down.

I experience this also, however, only if moonlight-plugin-mozilla is
installed. As long as it is not installed, Firefox doesn't crash a few
seconds after starting it up. (I left libmoon and moonlight-plugin-core
still installed, I only removed moonlight-plugin-mozilla).
