I can confirm this. My IDE drive is identified as 'hda' in Dapper, but
in Edgy, it thinks it is SCSI and names the drive 'sda'. I used the
alternate install CD, and I *think* the partitioner there said SCSI
also. Once installed, the drives were still detected as SCSI (sda)
improperly.

Yes. When I press the sync button on my Zire, the gnome-pilot
progressbar appears and informs me that the EAddress starts and
succesfully ends. Then it says that ECalendar starts and hangs. In the
meantime two gnome-pilot settings windows open, and a Bug-Buddy window.

adjusting Timezones, since they are already the same.

I've upgraded to edgy yesterday morning. In Dapper I only got a vague
error message, now I got Bug Buddy with the attached backtrace.
gnome-pilot still only syncs the address book, but I do get an error
message after the first succesful sync part.

It's the same here. After first installing Ubuntu 8.04 Alpha6 and doing
a complete upgrade and installing codecs etc I restarted and a message
appeared that said could not start the gnome settings daemon.
I tried from a terminal and it returned this:

not sure when firefox 3 beta 4 will be added but i'm sure that a later
version that beta 3 will be included with the final release. The final
release should have the final version of firefox 3 otherwise it would be

I cannot collect a backtrace with this bug like in the instructions
because the whole computer crashes when I try to play a video and get
the black screen. Ctrl+Alt+Backspace F1 F11 etc. doesn't work.
Note: I didn't have this problem with Hardy Beta...

I can fix it if I use Glipper or Klipper (preferred) on KDE. Installing
one of these makes everything better.

If I install the glipper package there is no /usr/bin/glipper executable
available and therefore I cannot start glipper. I must install the gutsy
version because the hardy and intrepid versions have this problem.

When I run Rhythmbox and click Music Import Folder the folder open
dialog appears and I get an error dialog saying Operation Not
Supported and if I click OK I can go ahead and select the folder I want
to import.
This bug is not urgent at all
I have installed codecs and played a WMV file and same thing happens. I
cannot play any media file without my system going black screened.
Banshee cannot play MP3s but comes up with an error message that says
Error??
I installed mplayer and it cannot play videos it just says error.

I had both Python 2.3 and 2.5 installed on my system, but dpkg used in some way
the 2.3 version.
After I removed 2.3 all went well, and dpkg used version 2.5 and fixed the
broken installation.
