Public bug reported:
It occurred when the package was updated normally.
ProblemType: Package
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04
Package: nvidia-settings-updates 295.33-0ubuntu1
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-32.51-generic 3.2.30
Uname: Linux 3.2.0-32-generic x86_64
NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia
The experimental nvidia drive was installed and being used and they
clashed over some files in the nvidia-setting package. I fixed it by
removing the experimental package, so this problem is minor and trivial.
Please mark this bug as low importance, with minor impact and not worth
fixing.
I have the same problem. It worked in 12.04 but crashes in 12.10.
