Can confirm this bug in my laptop. Disabling power save line and
rebooting worked for me.

This bug has been affecting me since Kubuntu Intrepid. I solved it
downloading the network-manager-gnome http://packages.ubuntu.com/jaunty
/network-manager-gnome), which works nicely. However, as I hadn't
Internet, I had to download all the packages (and its dependencies,
after trying again and
Jonathan Riddell's solution strongworked!/strong
I added his line to my repositories, updated my plasma-widget-network-
manager... And now I'm connected! :D
Nevertheless, I'd like to point two things:
1º. I had to type my ascii key... as an hex key. That was boring.
2º. I first typed it
I'm struggling with this issue since Intrepid. I cannot help solving it
as I'm not a developer, but I'm wondering if this will be solved in
Lucid so I won't have to install Network Manager Gnome on KDE, which is
always annoying since I don't have Internet access to get the GNOME
dependencies.

Suspend to RAM works as expected, but when trying to resume the screen
stays black: the login screen doesn't appear. I don't know if my system
is running normally with no display or if it simply won't resume at all.

I just installed the latest trunk to try this feature:
$ inkscape -V
Inkscape 0.48+devel r12503 custom (Sep 8 2013)
but still iconified dialogs do not stay after restart. Non iconified
docked or floating dialogs do remain.
