I can't quite tell from the report page on launchpad, but is this fix
available in Trusty? Are there plans to make it available?

Thanks @Chris Hermansen. As @Joseph Salisbury suggested, I tried
4.9.0-16, 4.10.0-8, 4.10.0-11, and 4.10.0-19 and the problem doesn't
crop up until 4.10.0-19 and then does so reliably (so to speak).

I'm able to reliably reproduce it, but I haven't been able to generate a
small test case (I have to reboot every time I reproduce it). FWIW, the
