Same problem.
Change acceleration in mouse settings have no effects.
My keyboard and mouse appears in double (see image).
$ xinput
⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2[master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointerid=4[slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳
And the xinput details of my mouse
~$ xinput --list-props 13
Device 'ARESON Wireless Mouse':
Device Enabled (140): 1
Coordinate Transformation Matrix (142): 1.00, 0.00, 0.00,
0.00, 1.00, 0.00, 0.00, 0.00, 1.00
libinput Natural
sudo apt remove xserver-xorg-input-libinput && sudo apt install xserver-
xorg-input-evdev
fixed it for me
