replaced it and the issue is gone. Now I have a dlink and everything
seems to be working as expected. The previous router (3com) is gone, so
I can't make the tests with it anymore and provide the output you have
requested.

This solution works for me:
sudo apt-get install imwheel zenity
Create a bash script and insert this:
#!/bin/bash
# Version 0.1 Tuesday, 07 May 2013
# Comments and complaints http://www.nicknorton.net
# GUI for mouse wheel speed using imwheel in Gnome
# imwheel needs to be installed for this
I can confirm this on recently installed system.
$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description:Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS
Release:16.04
Codename: xenial
$ lxc launch ubuntu:xenial testct
Creating testct
Starting testct
$ lxc exec testct -- systemctl
I can confirm setting acltype to posixacl on the dataset shared via NFS
fixes the issue.
