reason this is marked 'incomplete' despite multiple confirmations of the
existence of the bug):
(1) open gnome-screensaver-preferences; observe that previews for screensavers
work fine

Bizarrely, with up-to-date dapper, I'm seeing en_GB right now for
Abiword, and en_US for everything else I can find. Don't know if this is

I had banshee-official-plugins 0.11.1-0ubuntu2 installed after the
feisty upgrade, which appears to be the version that shipped with edgy.
As far as I recall, I didn't install any third-party versions of that

The application did not work, and the application (not docs that no one
should have to read) told me it needed those things. If it doesn't need
those things, then this bug needs to be retitled to 'gnome-user-share
fails, and lies to users about why it fails', but either way, it is

For what it is worth, I see what appears to be the same problem with an
ipw2200 on edgy- mostly it works, but sometimes after I move from one
building to another, either I'm unable to connect to the networks in the
new building, or worse, the card has disappeared.
