Just fell foul of this bug myself. Upgraded to Natty suddenly no mail out. Thanks for posting the fix seems to have sorted the problem. Can't believe this was released with this bug. But then I supposed that's the nature of bugs, they're things people haven't noticed. :) Thanks again, launchpad

Perhaps I'm missing the point here but it seems you have altered the network manager applet to NOT manage the networks?? I have a static network here and this broke it totally. As of today NetworkManager is unusable for me using any of the suggestions here. Perhaps this helps for some thing

I think I have fixed it. It looks like my partition UUID's got mucked up. For kernels 2.6.20.11 and after I added the /dev/sd-- number instead after the 'root=' on the boot line and in /etc/fstab and it now works fine, so far. I read a thread on the ubuntu forums, I think, that had someone else

Not sure if this is related but I didn't want to start a new bug report just in case it is. When I hit the quit button on the panel the choices pop up without Suspend or Hibernate if I cancel the quit panel then choose quit button again the two options appear and are there everytime after that.

I eventually had to stop the snapd service and manually delete the "/run/snap*.lock" files and the "/snap/chromium" folder and the user "snap/chromium" folder (after backing up) then uninstall via apt with " --purge" switch and then snap remove with "--purge" switch too then restart the snapd
