Ok D'oh... for me it was the Secure Attention Key feature of Trinity (KDE3)
KDM.. somehow the tsak background process was b0rked with the last upgrade to
kdebase-trinity-bin-3.5.13-2debian0~pre49+9 .. thankfully it can be disabled.
...Sorry for the noise C-;

Unfortunately, the libreoffice transition doesn't seem to magically have
created a GUI option to knock that haunted autorecovery nag screen down.
The -norestore switch is a despicable kludge for nerds.
** Project changed: openoffice = df-libreoffice
** Changed in: df-libreoffice
Status:
Ok, after a deep look into this it seems the usblp kernel module does not set
the ieee1284_id proper, which makes system-config-printer-udev skip the device
even though the serial number is present..
I tested this for my setup (after going in circles for a good while) with:
# watch -d -n 1 'cat
..recent udev seems to fail to generate these symlinks for internal devices
because ID_PATH is not set and write_cd_rules needs it for the default
by-path method else f.e.
# udevadm test $(udevadm info -q path -n /dev/sr0)
will echo $DEVPATH not supported by path_id. by-id may work.
The by-id
..soonish is somewhat arbitrary.

There's a package for marble-qt 1.2 on getdeb, but it seems that within 5
months, noone has built a 1.3 :-c
The single most interesting feature is the support for vector tiles, which
means no more bitmaps to download! Especially great news for us dial-up users!
If just the repo wasn't so big, I
I just deleted literally a million of these, or howevermuch the /tmp fs
can handle when it ran out of inodes.. all created at the same time,
same link... - -

While this has been fixed in poppler, it still remains unsolved in

Sadly, the workaround from #9 did not work for me.
Unfortunate that kdiff3 seems to be nearly abandoned, only two commits in the
last two years.
I always wanted to see kpart support of some kind (for comparing images f.e.)
but that seems not likely if even bugs like this are not fixed. :´ |

ok this seems to be caused by the tmp.mount unit, that is generated from
/etc/fstab. Mounting a tmpfs over /tmp will make existing files
inaccessible, so it has to be done as early as possible, i.e.
mmh #32 not enough.. I had to convert it /tmp to an overlay mount, as
regardless how early, it seems there'll be some important file
(custom_mounts.list, see /var/log/live/boot) on it already..

TLDR fix: add `-dPrinted=false`
"This was a bug fix, the behaviour previously was incorrect, now it is
as intended. The Annotations in your PDF file have no /Flags entry, in
the absence of that, the default value (0) is used.
This means that bit 3 of the Flags value is 0, from the PDF Reference:
Ok for anyone landing in this situation (f.e. by trying to `checkinstall
--fstrans=no ./vmware-product.bundle` ).. a probable cause is that
checkinstall has removed the /lib -> /usr/lib symlink and replaced it by
a directory. Lucky you if you have a tmux session with a root ranger
instance
Maybe there's an equivalent setting to?

Thanks for the workarounds! Fantastic that progress is picking up, it
seemed doubtful this would ever be resolved. ⏳
