-nofullscreen -nojoy -nomouse and it hangs, try to close its window. The
console output will halt on a sound system deinit routine. Leave the
window be, it will close itself eventually. Or you can kill it with kill
-9 prboom

More findings: when performing boot by turning the computer on, the
driver freezes with EXA. I have to unplug the second monitor, boot to X,
replug the monitor, restart X and then it works correctly. With XAA it
works correctly right from the beginning. One more reason for me to stop

After switching to 9.04 (pulseaudio 0.9.14-0ubuntu4) I am no longer able
to reproduce the bug - thanks! Pulseaudio still crashes occasionally,
but no longer from this reason. I'll fill a separate bug for the crashes
when they'll occur. Thanks again!

Guest account can log in, but unity does not start - only a menu is
shown in the upper menu bar. When I create user (sudo useradd -m -s

How to reproduce this:
I run Xvfb :99 -ac, then DISPLAY=:99 gnome-terminal. When I kill gnome-terminal
(with CTRL+C), Xvfb dies as well, throwing Segmentation Fault.
System:
Ubuntu Intrepid (I failed to reproduce this bug on Hardy)
$ gdb --args Xvfb :99 -ac

I can confirm this as well. Today I upgraded the kernel to 2.6.27-11 and
menu.lst was not re-generated. I had to run sudo update-grub manually
which fixed menu.lst for me. Here is the apt log:

I can confirm that as well. Note that in 1 out of perhaps 15 cases the X
starts successfully, but there is garbage on screen instead of the
ubuntu boot-up logo.

Upon upgrading to Maverick I noticed that the 6-channel setting on alsa
is not restored properly (always fixed to 2-channels). I tried running
sudo /lib/udev/alsa-utils as suggested in

Changing the line to exec /sbin/alsactl restore $N fixed the bug, it
restored alsa settings upon boot.
