More findings: when performing boot by turning the computer on, the driver freezes with EXA. I have to unplug the second monitor, boot to X, replug the monitor, restart X and then it works correctly. With XAA it works correctly right from the beginning. One more reason for me to stop putting

My system behaves exactly like you described: everything besides Xorg seems to work - disk LED blinks, mouse moves. This is not a kernel panic, it's just that Xorg keyboard does not work, nor does the SysRq+R. The only keys that works are the SysRq magic keys. An ordinary Xorg freeze :-) --
