Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.31-5-generic
On my shiny new bl460c g6 blade with onboard p410i controller I have a
raid 1 configured with current karmic installed. This boots and works,
but the kernel keeps logging:

I've looked into 2 a bit further, and it seems mostly to be during
install. There is a 50-second timeout for each interface every time the
installer probes for NICs. Since the hp blades have 2 NICs that each
have 4 virtual NICs, it means 8 x 50 seconds repeated what looks like

The new ATI drivers do not fix the problem, at least for the 64-bit

driver, and I have exactly the same problems as I described in much
greater detail further up this thread: With the fglrx driver I get a
hang every time I shut

* Mobility™ FireGL™ 9000/9100
If things works using these drivers, I suggest reverting back to this
version.

After a while (maybe an hour? two?) the screensaver freezes. It could be
