If no wireless card is present (yes I've removed it from my laptop) the script
called to determinate the state will return an empty string.
In this case the current script does a check on the

phone. I think that the icon should be activated when I connect any
bluetooth device.

Hello, I was looking at the code in /etc/wireless.sh. I found a big problem in
two cases
1) the user doesn't have a wireless device
2) the user has got more than one wireless device
in the former case wireless.sh does not return anything (in my opinion
it should return 0).

as we can see in /etc/acpi/asus-wireless.sh there's no use of the function
defined in /usr/share/acpi-support/state-funcs.
This is how the file looks now:

Binary package hint: network-manager-gnome
I've just installed edgy form the final cd (alternative). after having
installed network-manager-gnome the applet gives an error. To make it
appear you have to rebuild the icon cache
sudo gtk-update-icon-cache -f
Oh! So we must blame ubuntu, since we have 0.5! We will wait. Thank you!

Actually the touchpad still disconnects, but I think this is a
hardware problem. For me is fixed, but I really really don't remember
if I put the lines

The gtk look and feel is ok, but it's really slower on my machine. And
anyway the labels in the UML editor are placed in a different position
