HDD = qemu-img create "file" 8G
and got this funny message:
You need at least 8.6 GB disk space to install Xubuntu.
This computer has only 8.6 GB.

I can not attach any logs unfortunately those daily xubuntu focal images
stopped booting on or after 20220510, the last two available iso images
20220517 & 20220518 are broken however,...

Well I have expected GParted once invoked as root to carry out partitioning
tasks and NOTHING else.
The live session could run from a DVD or from RAM for example,..
