Just wanted to add that Dave Airlie sent me a patch{0] in the FreeDesktop Bug Tracker[1] for this same issue which fixed the problem for me. Would be great to have this patch included for the oneiric kernel if possible, it would make Ubuntu work for people with HD6450 cards out of the box. [0]:

I have tested 3.7-rc4-raring and can confirm that the problem still exists. Lots of reconnections and horrible performance compared to when booted in Windows 7. I do have options ath9k nohwcrypt=1 in /etc/modprobe.d/ath9k.conf, although this problem shouldn't appear with either setting. There
