You received this bug notification because
This bug does not affect the python-launchpadlib in Ubuntu, but in the
Launchpad specific PPA that provides legacy support for python 2.4. I
reverted back to the official python-launchpadlib and everything works.

I don't think the real issue is in launchpadlib, but in the upstream
httplib2. What I did to fix the bug is to install the packaged version
of httplib2, and that's it. It worked fine after that, and I'm running
Tarmac on Jaunty now.

Since Intrepid is now in feature freeze, I think it's best that we not
include this in the Intrepid release. We only have a six month release
cycle, and those who REALLY need it (like Entertainer) will put the
package in their PPA.

I'd like to see this fixed, as Entertainer doesn't yet work with clutter
0.8, and I can't continue to work with this bug in 0.6. I can get this
into my PPA, but I'm not familiar with the distro processes to get it
released. If a distro person could assist, I could fix this bug.

I have a fixed package in my PPA that I've tested and found that it
fixes the problem. However, I'd like this to actually get this into

solicit some distro team help?

I've looked extensively at this bug. Sure, adding python-xml as a
dependency helps, but the python-xml library is broken, slightly.
Apparently, it's an "old bug" where some of the python-xml is being
broken up into core and oldxml. However, nothing in oldxml is
accessible. While tzu's workaroun

I started up jaunty after the upgrade. Everything was running fine for
15 minutes or so, and then I noticed a new icon in my systray, and then
I got the super sexy new alerts, saying an application crashed. This is
the exact same bug apport wanted to create, so I thought I'd add a "Me

The work in my branch provides everything needed to get it packaged, and
if you'd like, I'd be more than happy to take this bug over and handle
it.
