Public bug reported:

It seems interface ignore wildcard doesn't actually work as ntpd needs
those listening interfaces to get packets back. openntpd seems to do
without these though so it would be good if ntpd was also able to.

What I was pointing out is that ntp listens to *:* when that's not
actually needed to function as an ntp client. Here's an example from a
server I was just setting up.
With ntpd:
$ sudo netstat -atpun | grep ntp
udp0 0 myIP:123 0.0.0.0:*

It's working fine now.

only happens when idle and the computer is running with the fan at full
speed so it's probably not actually hot but just misreporting it. It may
have the same underlying cause
I can confirm this bug and that disabling composite fixes it.

Public bug reported:
My name includes accented characters and it is garbled when shown in
git. It's written correctly as utf8 in /etc/passwd. When displaying it
as project owner it's garbled. The commit logs show correct accents so
the rest of the utf8 output works.
** Affects: gitweb (Ubuntu)
Public bug reported:
I had one torrent downloading and the window in the background and
freeloader crashed with this in .xsession-errors:
unknTraceback (most recent call last):

context.finish(True, time)
OverflowError: long
I used to be able to susped with the stock kernel although it wasn't
100% reliable. Lately it seems it can't. It just freezes and doesn't
come back. Hopefully the work going on into suspend at the kernel level
will bring reliable suspend.
