The 253 in the mockup would be the number of characters the user
typed. The 306 would be the character limit for the amount of SMS's
already started (which is 160 for 1 message in the GSM 7-bit alphabet,
and 153 per message in Concatenated SMS using the GSM 7-bit alphabet).

SMS, it is useful to know if they are about to send a message that needs
more than one SMS, using Concatenated SMS.

Below the SIM cards, there's a toggle for hotspot. I rarely use this
feature, but to enable or disable mobile data (I enable mobile data only
when I actually use it to save battery and costs) I have to tap "Mobile
settings" and do it from the System Settings app.
I would
XMPP is not dead ... I just convinced a new friend to use it. We are very happy
about it and the fact that it is decentralized. Supporting it is supporting
open communications. We shouldn't have to rely on big companies that just want
to make money out of you for such fundamental social actions
I had to use iOS for a while and I find this behaviour extremely
annoying and confusing with =4 keyboards. I was pleased to find out
Ubuntu Touch just toggled between the latest two, no matter if you had
typed anything.

Yesterday some of my photos were corrupt as described here. I don't
think it happened before.
There were End Of JPG markers like with @lumusan, but changing the FFD9
to unfortunately did not repair them.

If I wanted to give my calendar data to Google, I'd have bought an
Android phone. Having to use the command line is no solution, it's not
obvious to users. It seems you don't care about freedom at all. I'm so
disappointed with the whole Ubuntu Phone.
