Request to create separate home logical volume or allow manual LVM in
Ubiquity. Currently it only creates root and swap logical volumes when
LVM option is selected for automated installation type. When manual

All, I had same issue and on my Mac following worked for me.
1) make sure "DEFAULT_TIMEOUT_STYLE=hidden" is either commented out or has
'menu' as value, in /etc/default/grub.

I had similar issue on my HP laptop with elantech trackpad, where
trackpad would not be responsive immediately after login. The buttons
would still work, external (USB) mouse would also work.
In my case the fix was to remove synaptics driver and let libinput
handle trackpad.

While this may work (I did not try tbh), it is not an ideal solution.
The greeter should reflect changes done via gsettings/dconf-editor.
Also, as I checked today, this is not specific to Ubuntu MATE. Same
issue exists in LinuxMint when arctica-greeter is installed and enabled.

I confirm no message shows for removing the iso medium. Tested on Xubuntu daily
build 20210224 ISO. If we hit escape we see following error.
"Starting shuts down the 'live' preinstalled system cleanly...entd or progress

On today's test (20210226 ISO), I noticed the message is shown for live-
session but not for install test case (reboot after install).
Hitting enter proceeds to reboot the system but if we hit escape, we see
error as stated in comment #5.

I do not test Kubuntu ISOs so not sure if it is same but I have raised
bug for crash during OEM install for Ubuntu MATE and Xubuntu (#1916920).
As of last two days there is no crash during OEM install. Please test
latest build. Possibly fixed for Kubuntu as well.
