Hi guys, i'm testing alpha 6 and i was trying to format a 4GB pen drive
using gparted but i keeps looking for devices forever and never show me
anything... with ubuntu 8.04 i never had this problem since i could
format my pen drive many times this way...

I have the same problem, i don't know how, But i fix it editing the xorg.conf,

it was an accident i was trying to configure the tv-out, but the fist boot i
saw that kde
start whit a different resolution (it was too much for my Syncmaster) and
refresh
i reinstalled ubuntu intrepid 32bit from zero and the issue is gone...
Another bug of similar behavior is that when having openoffice word opened and
writing something, if i unplugg the wireless USB mouse, openoffice help center
starts like 80 times... i.e. opens 80 help windows one after the
i was googeling because ia have a ZTE MF626 USB modem and i already
tried usb_modeswitch and modprobe usbserial and everithing worked
fine... but the modem disconnected after 2 or 3 minutes... sometimes
longer connections... may be signal... but the thing is that i sonetimes
unplugged the device
i aslo tried wdial to get connected to the modem but it disconnects
after a few seconds... the device continues to be ejected or some... and
i cant connect to the web...
please give a solution,
another question... is this bug also in Jaunty?

i uploaded another screenshot running metacity with the compositing
option enabled. This was catched when switching from virtual desktops...
as you can see in this screenshot, the messages list is distorted and
that distortion is contaminated with the window that was below
evolution, that is
I enabled compiz for 10 minutes and i didn't see the distortion this
time as you see in the screenshot that i uploaded, the affected
region of that distortion is not any region, is the region where the
mail messages are (in evolution mail client). so i think that may be is
some sort of refresh
And this whole thing happens also with firefox the same way with
evolution. Not the entire window, the decoration and the menu bars look
fine, the content region is affected as well as evolution is. The
distortion looks the same, may be some issue with the nvidia restricted
driver?

I don't know how to reproduce this bug, it affects me quite randomly. I
would say that may be it has something to do with hibernation or
unplug/plug the laptop... i do this almost never because i use most
plugged and don't like much hibernation because that is when most bugs
appears... ;)

I have succeeded in reporting bugs with apport (with Karmic beta) but the
process itself keeps spawning!
Also tried killing all instances but one, but some seconds later it started
running again (several times).
Any clues?

This is my experience with this bug. I noticed that pressing F5 to
refresh JPEG picture thumbnails in desktop set the mouse in holding
wheel and every element was updated (like external drives) but image
thumbnails dissapeared. Then i opened a nautilus file manager window and
went to desktop
I'm sorry that i installed the new version of ubuntu now, the karmic
koala and i can't reproduce this bug. My music collection is the same as
before but the exaile version i suppose is newer than jaunty one.

exaile does not import music directories
This odd behaviour still continues the same way and is a fact that when
modem is somehow corrupted and the 2 states of the modem (i assume this
2 states according to the 2 fast blinking messages boxes that i was able
to record via screen captures)... the modem it is not able to connect
anymore in
Same problem running Karmic Koala with fglrx 8.66.
Hope some day this bug is fixed!

I tried remote pc control over internet using no-ip dns service and i
controlled a desktop pc using my notebook. The thing is that the desktop
pc keyboard (the remote controlled pc) misconfigures completely.
